Across Derbyshire, different agencies are committed to working in partnership to reduce crime and risks to safety and to maintain quality of life for people who live, work and visit the area.

  • Ten and 11-year old pupils in Chesterfield’s schools have been invited to design a poster to help raise awareness among young people of anti-social behaviour (ASB) and the effects it can have on people and places.
  • A Gardening project for teenagers has been credited with helping to cut the number of youngsters committing crime in Derbyshire. Youth offending figures show that in the past year 1,100 young people were dealt with by the courts in the county, compared to 1,500 children during the year before.
